Best Cars
I have beaten the game many times, the best cars I have used along the way were (to start off) Chevy Colbat, build it up, try to pick Sonny's pink slip for his VW Golf GTI, and then pick the Junkman marker at the end. Pick one ?marker and hope that is is extra cash or their pink slip, if you don't like their car you can just sell it and get money. Then pick the junkman marker saving the Junkman parts until you unlock the ultimate parts (ie:Ultimate tires then you add the junkman tires, ultimate brakes then you add the junkman brakes...etc)for the VW Golf. Also keep saving money to buy the Porsche Carrera GT (of course when you have beaten Ronnie #3) and if you need more money to buy all the parts just choose a race that you like that you have already beaten (pick one that pays more). So unlock all ultimate parts and build the VW Golf and add junkman parts and build the Porsche Carrera GT and then add the junkman parts. They are both extremely fast, great acceleration, and great handling. The best way for me to use the full potentials of the cars were to adjust my performance options like this...steering was 1 up from the middle, handling was 2 above,ride height was all the way to the left, brakes were still in the middle, aerodynamics were all the to the right, nitrous was all the way to the left and the turbo can be wherever you want (I leave it in the middle). I use those adjustments with every car.
Best Starting Car
For me, the best starting car was the Chevrolet Cobalt SS. It has just about everything you need to start the game off good and fairly easily. It has about average stats on everything and, for me it handled great. Also, out of the bunch I think it was the best looking, but of course, that's my opinion.

At the "Press Start" screen, press Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right. If you entered the code correctly, a message will appear stating that you have unlocked a "Special Challenge Event" will appear. At the main menu, select the "Challenge Series" option. Scroll all the way to the bottom and choose #59, the Burger King Challenge. Successfully complete the challenge to be able to use all Junkman parts on cars you have in "My Cars". Note: Before applying Junkman parts, press X in the performance parts place to get them as high as they can go, then apply Junkman to each part. By doing this, it gives better stat raises.

Easier photo ticket bounty later in the game
As you progress in the game the traffic gets heavier and vehicles drive more and more erratically. Sometimes this makes it hard to get photo ticket bounties without getting into a wreck. So here's a trick... Get into a level-4 pursuit, get some milestones or whatever, and make sure you pay attention to the radio or the traffic. At a certain point the police dispatch will clear the roads of all traffic. This is the time to ditch the cops. After the race you get a couple of minutes before all the traffic is back on the road. Press "Down" and do your photo tickets while there are no other cars on the road.

Get some cops to chase you, then go to the bus stop. Get on top of the buses and make sure that the front of the car is at the edge of the last bus so that the cops can see you and do not lose you. Keep looking behind you, because the cops will sometimes find a way on top of the buses. When they do get on the buses, just reverse as soon as you see them coming and push them off. Only one cop car will come on top of the bus. Do this for as long as desired. When you want to lose them, just reverse, park in the middle of the buses, and wait until your Cool Down bar fills. The cops will also drive crazy and crash into themselves, giving you extra bounty and bring up your rap sheet rankings on police vehicles immobilized and police vehicles involved.
Easy Money - Fast!
All you have to do is go to Custom Race and then to Lap Knockout. Pick the track Smugglers Wharf. It is the very last one. Now pick the race options: 1 lap, 1 opponent, easy difficulty etc. Now pick your very best car (mines the Carrera GT) do the race. Once you win do the exact same race in career mode. Its in #1: Razor. Do the race there. There are 3 other racers and they are hard difficulty but if you have the Carrera GT it is easy. You get 25,000 credits plus you can do it over and over. My best time was a minute 30 seconds. Thats the fastest race you can do for 25,000 credits. Enjoy your success to come!
Easy Tip to get Pinkslips
Believe me this works.
What you have to do:
There are 3 ? markers every time you beat a Blacklist Rival. One of them contain the pinkslip to the rivals vehicle.
You need to pick the VERY FIRST ? marker. If it is:
A Get out of jail free or release car from impound marker, it is the second ? Marker.
If it is a Extra Cash Reward or extra impound strike it is the 3rd ? Marker.
I have used this handy tip for my whole save file, I'm on number 6, only because I can't beat any of the milestones. I have gotten every pinkslip except for # 10s: Baron's, only because I got confused and picked the wrong marker. This works almost 100% of the time.

Before you can do anything, you must win the Burger King Challenge. Once you win it, you will unlock all unique parts (also called Junkman parts). Get any car and put all the parts on it except performance. Once you have your car the way you desire, go to the performance shop. Max out your car, then put the Junkman parts on. Max out your car again. Then put on the Junkman parts again. Your car should be fully upgraded now.

Extra cash at the Start
For an extra £10,000 at the start of the game, create your new profile on the same memory card as NFSU2 profile, and EA reward you with £10,000. Meaning you can buy the Golf GTI from the start.
Faster Acceleration After Jumps
When airborne, release the accelerator and once you hit the road, accelerate. This will stop you from skidding after hitting the tarmac, and will help you regain lost speed quickly.

To me, the fastest cars to zoom out of the hole with are the labs, because they have better handling than other cars if you is looking for a fast start.
Finding the best car
To find the best car you can go to the main menu and select my cars. You can buy cars for no cost and even upgrade them with everthing you have unlocked. Then you can go to quickrace and do a custom race with any of the cars you have modified. This should help you find the best car you can get.

1) Gain the lead right away: practice achieving perfect launches with your favorite car. Watch for the tachometer indicator to go blue to show you the right time to lay on the gas; if you can nail this right off the starting line, it helps you jump into the lead rather that having to fight for it later. Once you're in a dominant position (in first), you already have a psychological advantage against many players who cave and panic as soon as someone else is out in front leading the pack. Rely heavily on this gameplay element and don't give up the lead at any cost!
2) Alternatives to the P.I.T Maneuver: this technique is done by tapping the rear quarter panel of the car in front of you with your bumper to cause them to spin out and lose control. The police can use this technique against us, and vice versa, but it doesn't work against other racers.
We need to get a bit more creative and wreak havoc on human racers by grinding up against their cars while ripping down the track. The friction slows both your vehicles down slightly, but you can use this to your advantage with the help of some killer timing.
Get The Blacklist People's Cars.
When you beat a blacklist member, you can select up to two markers they offer you. Pick one with a "?" mark, and if it is a "Pink Slip", you get the car. If it isn't, try your other marker with it, and if it isn't, resset your console.

When you sell a car, you will only get half of its list value; however, there is a trick that works well for Pinkslips that you have won and no longer want. Take your car to the shop, then go to the parts area. Go into the body kit, spoiler, hood, rims, and roof air areas and set everything to stock. When you check out, you will see anywhere from $1,000 to $18,000, depending on what Pinkslip car you are stripping. Do not try this with performance parts. The shop will charge you money for downgrading. Once you have stripped your car of all accessories, leave and go to your safe house. Sell the car, and you will have made a lot of money on the side. Do this every time you intend to sell any car.
Heat Levels
There are 5 heat levels in a pursuit:
1: Civic police; this is just a basic pursuit.
2: Undercover civic police: this pursuit may include some road blocks.
3: State Police; this pursuit involves roadblocks, rolling blocks and light SUV Rhinos. The units are also stronger.
4: Undercover State Police; in this pursuit state helicopters are deployed, spikes are laid down next to the roadblocks, there are rolling blocks, and there are heavy SUV Rhinos.
5: Federal Units; in this pursuit, federal helicopters are deployed which sweep down and try to you off the road. There are heavy SUV Rhinos, spikes, and rolling blocks. The units in this pursuit are very strong.
There is also a heat level 6 but this can only be done in the last level. This consists of Sergeant Crosses street racing unit, plus some units from heat level 5 and 4.
When you complete the game and become the most wanted, heat level 5 will consist of both the federal units and Crosses street racing unit. Crosses street racing unit look like federal units except they have carbon hoods. They will surround you and try to box you in. Cross himself drives a black corvette.
How 2 lose 20 cops
Well first of all u hav 2 hav beaten Razor and gotten the BMW wat u do is get rid of at least 9 cops and go straight 2 the highway and speed along there and ull lose 20 cops in just 10 minutes although ull hav 2 avoid all the spikestrips but 2 avoid them turn like evrything low but the speech volume and then after backup arrives ull get down 2 21 in just 5-7 minutes Mia will ring u and tell u 2 go straight 2 the Old bridge the location is on the highway somwhere look at the orange circle on ur map if u cant find it and AVOID ALL RAMMERS!!! P.S if u cant get past 'em all try losin more at the start and the eziest way is use 2 pursuit breakers twice! oh and the highway is just up that hill at the start go around the road block if u want but DONT GO THRU THE PRISON ull lose about 3 there but ull end up gettin busted! keep foloin the road until u get 2 the intersection and dont bother gettin past the road block its spike-stripped aswell as guarded by rammers and Cross's team once ur past there at the intersection go either straight or right(Im pretty sure its straight)
how to beat the cops
this is not a cheat code but it will help you to out run the cops.
1 get a fast car
2 never stop unless you want to get more cops on you.(which is more fun)
3 dont get caught
4 when ever u see a road block of cop cars always hit the one that is facing sideways and it will roll and die
5 take as many short cuts to get them off your tail
6 never be afraid if you get chased by faster cop cars it just means more fun fun for you
7 and finally always ram them into stuff
these are what helped me get out of trouble with the cops when they were on my tail

All you have to do is go into any shop and once your in exit out of the shop and the nitrous bar should be full.
How To Unlock The Different Heat Levels
You will start campaign mode only being able to only achieve Heat levels 1 and 2 (City Police). By defeating certain Blacklist Rivals, you can then achieve the higher Heat Levels.
Heat Level #3: Defeat the Blacklist #13 rival.
Heat Level #4: Defeat the Blacklist #9 rival.
Heat Level #5: Defeat the Blacklist #5 rival.
Heat Level #6: On the final challenge (Challenge Series mode) and on the final level of Campaign Mode. Sgt. Cross joins in the pursuit.
HUUUUGE BOUNTY EASY!!!!
ok get into a big fat pursiut, the more police the better, but if u got a chopper on the look out then ur in trouble.
once u got some followers, drive to the bus depot, it is close to a police station and looks like a big glass building. head inside the bilding, smashing through the glass, now look for 2 rapms inside the building, head up one of them.
at the top, there is a glass wall, drive slowly through it (fast enough to smash it) (this gets u damage to property)...
now drive ontop of the row of buses just outside the glass wall you just smashed. drive along the top of the buses and stop at the end but make sure your nose of the car sticks out so the police can see you.
while your there, the police cars are down below ramming themselves into the busses and smashing themselves up, hang here for a few minutes...i was there for so long that i went to get some lunch and changed of AV and watched some TV.
be carreful coz if ur unlucky one random police car might try to come up. if so just drive him off the buses and blow up a few cars below.
i racked up 160 000 bounty here. once u need to evade, just reverse off the buses back to the ramps and stick inside but up where the police wont get you.

Before you gonna sell your car or the one you won with pink slip, get in it, then go to the shop, go to parts and undress it, put everything on stock! You will gain like 5-10 thousand for it, then go to safe house and sell it.
But don't downgrade parts! cuz you can't put them back on stock!
Looks can be decieving
The VW Golf GTI may look slow and is slow when stock but when fully tuned it is almost the fastest car in the game. For $35,000 its a bargain. Its actually faster than a 300 and something thousand dollar slr mclaren done up fully. Im not lying because i beat razor in my golf.
Lose helicopter & cops
Enable to lose the helicopter and the cops just go under the tunnel entrance that\'s in Rockport under the highway and stay and wait for the cops to catch up,right before they start caving you in stomp on the gas (by now the helicopter should start leaving).When you reach the crash breaker use it and if the cops are gone (which they should be),just lightly touch the gas and carefully go inside the hiding spot which should be in a cave.

If your ever low on cash and need some more, you can re-do past races. Just go to the blacklist, press the up button to see past blacklist members, and choose a race to re-do. Even if you've already won it, you can do it again to win more money.
make heat 5 cops seem like heat 1 (rubbish)!!!
If you're past blacklist 5 (webster) and you can get heat 5 than raise your heat to level 5. I would use a fast car like websters corvette or mings gallardo. Drive to the riverfront stadium(the one that doesn't have pursuit breakers on either side). Just keep driving around the stadium over and over again and don't go on to the main roads. the police get confused even if they are level 5 and they will set up road blocks on the main road which you can just drive past on the stadium road, there is even a hiding spot to get away from the cops. Trust me I used to find bounty hard but now its so easy i'm on razor and have 16,000,051 bounty! I even got 2 million bounty in one pursuit and it makes the milestones easy too. Just makes sure you dont crash or the cops WILL box you in!!
Milestone - Evade cops in under 15 seconds
In career mode for Milestones where you need to evade a pursuit in under X number of minutes, the quickest way to evade cops is to go to Bounty and select Dunwich Village. To the left, there's a boat with a pursuit breaker and right next to it is a cop. Hit the pursuit breaker, disable the cop's car and then to the left, there's a hiding spot. You can do this on any heat level and end the pursuit in less than 15 seconds.

Hitting nitrous torques the chassis back, giving the rear tires immensely more weight under the new acceleration. The end effect is that you will go straight. If your tail is sliding out or you are about to spin out of control, hit your nitrous to get straighten out. This is a great trick in combination with Speedbreaker. With the correct timing, you can take most corners at any speed.

when ever you are going around a corner at a high speed, hit the slowmotion button and hit the nitrus. youll then sistain a high speed and accelerate faster. this does depend on the amount of nitrus you have.
Quickly End a Pursuit in a Career Mode Race Event
If you end up getting chased by the cops while completing a Race Event in career mode, here's how to avoid a lengthy pursuit and get credit for winning the race.
1) Make sure the game is set on AutoSave.
2) Win the race.
3) When the "Winner" photo appears, hit the Restart / Circle button. When you do this, an "Attention" warning pops up asking "Are you sure you want to restart? All race progress will be lost". Ignore that and press "OK".
4) The stage resets and the "3,2,1" countdown begins again. Before the countdown, gets to "1", press the Start / Pause button on your controller to pause the countdown.

the top three rides are okay, but you can sell #3 and #2 because for #3: Its crap even with ultimate upgrades if you got Ming's/Webster's/JV's ride, and it has a "Kiss me, I'm Irish" decal on the back bumper. This dawg thought he was ghetto? And #2: An SLR McLaren is nothing to be happy about. It's crap compared with other high-performance cars (Like the Murcielago and the Viper).
